I love NYC. Yesterday I worked my butt off all day at HS pr to get ready for last night's Louis Vuitton event at Saks that we were pr for. It was definitely weird being on the OTHER side of the red carpet, not as press. It made me realize the following things. That a) I love fashion, b)I love nyc, c)I love my job and all the contacts and friends ive made through it the past two years, d)I love PR and e) I love champagne and tuna tar tar. I do alot of events, but this one was specifically fun. First of all, I wasn't there to interview and party. I was working with the PR team. The event was to debut Louis Vuitton's new collection, Cruise. Saks was transformed into a Jungle, it was BEAUTIFUL. I realized how many amazing friends i've made the past few years doing what I do. I ran into 2 of my friends on the red carpet (my collegue at in touch weekly and my friend brad from Us weekly), I then ran into my fabulous new best friend Naeem and his boy from the Eldridge, I also saw an Old friend Kristian who is a socialite i love and his friend who designs dresses for GAGA. I ran into my girl Christine, I ran into my friend who photographs for Patrick McMullen and tons others. I just love events like that. I also realized that i love doing pr, it's so diff then reporting, i can't compare them nor pick what i like more. Im just well rounded in both now and that opens the doors to me as to what I wanna do as a career.

Anyways, some of the new Louis Vuitton line for Cruise,

PS-go to papermag's website and vote in the 5th annual nightlife awards. My FAMILY is nominated!! So mikealis and I are in a cab the other day heading to Juliet and our cab driver turned up the radio really loud when empire state of mind came on. in the car next to us (not a cab) was this guy, a totally different race, background, culuture, completely diff human being from the cab driver. Yet with both their windows up, just by looking at eachother they could tell that they were each listening to that song and singing about NYC in sperated vehicles. They waved at eachother, kept dancing and singing, and i just thought: wow, why haven't we thought of this before? That's all it takes to bring people in this city together: patriotism...and jay z...so jay for governor, long live nyc.

Halloween, what a nightmare. PS. I have to vent about this because it upset me to the point of no return on Saturday night. someone please explain to me the point of the Village Halloween parade. As a 6th avenue apartment renter, I see ZERO point in it. First off, it blocks traffic from the village to chelsea on 3 avenues. Secondly, it doesn't bring in ANY revenue for nYc as it's free. Third, the ammount of money the city spends on Police, blocking travel, closing trains down, police to search people getting on trains, clean up crew, ETC ETC ETC makes me ill. Here's what it did for me- I had to walk from 6th ave and 15th st (my apt) to the east mother fucking village. I was hosting a party for Matt Levine at the Rivington Penthouse and my brother, boyfriend, and friend could NOT get a cab, nor could we get on a train as they were all blocked any where down to the village. After 45 minutes of walking, in my stupid idiotic fucking 80's costume, i wanted to kill everyone i knew. Everyone hated me for a good hour because of my mood but can u blame me? NO im not drunk yet, and NO im not in the halloween spirit, and NO the thousands upon thousands of lady gagas everywhere are NOT cute NOR funny NOR original. The night ended up awesome once I had my bottle of vodka. The Rivington Hotel, for those of you who haven't been special enough to go there, is one of the most upscale beauitful hotels in nyc, and the penthouse is not even worth explaining. It's a gem in the LES. All i can tell u is if your lucky enough to attend an event there, go to the penthouse, and look at the view. I ended up with 3 tables that night, too many people, a bunch of c list celebs, and 4 clubs all in one night, not that it's suprising only that it was TIRING. Every single one required a LONG walk or a car service (or a bouncer nice enough to give us a ride). halloween can suck my nuts and next year, im staying in. im too old for that shit!!

Thank god all the girls at the PR firm I work at are anti "dwelling on the holiday" bitches too like me, and insisted that ANY (if any) halloween decorations that were put up, were PROMPTLY removed by monday morning. thanks bitches.

will this fucking rain stop already? I dont want to miss home more than I already do. The past two months have been so busy with our full nightlife schedule that I haven't been able to head home to florida. I usually go bi monthly, so when I go home for Thanksgiving, it will be glorious. beach, food, my dog, mikealis jordan haley koko and jake koko all under one roof. I love thanksgiving, even with recently divorced parents, it doesnt make me sad, just happy. on another note, Im working three days a week at Harrison Shiftman PR. WE (yes we, I like to feel a part of the lifestyle team over here) represent GREY GOOSE which is the majority of time spent as well as Jimmy Choo, some energy drinks, Crumbs cup cakes, and some other stuff. I love all the girls in the office, and it gets me out of bed before 3 pm three days a week which is good. Mikealis and I are officially part of the Eldridge ML creative group team which we LOVE. We feel like family already over there. Funny thing is, it's the most exclusive celeb studded club in nyc. But because its on the east side (gasp) people don't know about it nor do they hold it to the same standards as oak or avenue. Matt Levine is personally best friends with more famouse people then I could care to name, not bragging but I feel like some people are tragic and need to know-there's more to this city then 17th street. What certain people in this city DONT know, is that, there are spots that are WAY more fucking exclusive and fabulously guest list than One Oak and Avenue. Don't get me wrong, both of those places have done a lot of good for me in more ways than one and i love them but im just saying, Eldridge for the win, I would tell u all to try it out but u cant, guest list only every night. And i dont mean the kind of guest list only bullshit that Binn pulls if you aren't hot enough. I mean, litterally, guest list only, it doesn't matter if your hot or whatever. you gotta know matt, or me (ha) or one of the other team members. We are also promoting at SL now, I really love Adam Spoont. For those of you who dont know him or think he's a douche bag, get over yourselves. He rules. He's taken us in and given us such amazing treatment and respect, I think he could run for president, or at least governor. Right behind Matt Levin. Sl has been good to us, Eugene Remm is the greatest dude on the planet and showers mikealis with man love. Ellington and Isaah (if you dont know them, you're retarded) have also become friends of ours. We do Friday nights with them at Tenjune. I was nervous at first that we wouldn't live up to their MODELS ONLY rule BUT, we have felt right at home with those dudes and love goin to pre dinners with them and hanging with them.

Tonight we start our first night at Juliet. As a Barry Mulleniux supporter and friend, I am excited to be apart of him and Jon B's newest venture on the west side highway. See this is yet another place that's ten times better than "other places". It's GORGEOUS, everyone is mad cool, John mayer goes there (mmm) and you can't find a better vibe right now. Floor to ceiling crystals, whatever, check it out...or come with us, you know the drill. For Halloween, we are hosting (for the amazing Matt Levine of course) a party at the Rivington hotel in the Penthouse. A VERY VERY special guest has rented out Eldridge for the night so we are moving our crew to teh Rivington pent house. Later, sneaking into Eldridge. I have no intentions of dressing up as anything more than a convenient devil in the same dress I'd otherwise be wearing with some Christian Loubs to compliment the black and red vibe. Im too old for that....then again, so is Matt and he's apparantly going all out, so maybe I should to. Doubtful.

Mikealis is about to do another music video. Unfortunately, as a graduate, I don't care and have no intensions on lifitng a finger, if that makes sense. Andre, my trusted partner in video crime, is going to do it for his reel. For the first time ever at a mikealis shoot, I will be sitting back, NOT yelling. Stand by for that.He also has a show at the end of the month somewhere.

Im also about to be part of a HUGE nightlife blogging website, secret, with my bff of life Troy. He's working on getting the funding, Im working on looking pretty, and we will meet in the middle haha..no but that's goign to be amazing. bye

xoxo

YOU WILL BE MINE GALLIANO.

Friday, October 16, 2009

Alot's been going on in our world the past couple weeks. all good things though. I got a really great internship with H&S PR. My boss at in touch referred me for it. It's great, they represent grey goose amongst others. Ill be there three days a week. Also, Mikealis is playing a really big show at CMJ next week, excited about that. We can officially announce our new line up for promoting. we are SO happy to be working with the people we are now working with, we feel super lucky to be working with all the great people who have contacted us recently. We are officially employees of the great EMM group. They own tenjune, SL, STK, etc. We are doing a night solo at SL, and a joint night with the EMM boys at Tenjune. We will be riding in style and warmth this winter in an EMM escalade so our girls dont freeze haha. dinners at stk, mmm. wish i ate steak. Also, we are soooo happy to be the first promoters to EVER work for the Eldridge. Matt Levine is one of the most LEGIT, nice and REAL owners in the city. He originally opened Eldridge only for his friends family and celebs. It is STILL that way. Guest list only, we have seen some amazing people in there and our thursday table Was PACKED. He keeps the bottles flowing and Mel dj's the best set. We love the Eldridge team and feel SO lucky to be a part of it! Thursdays at Eldridge, for the win. before that matt generously gives a big dinner at the rivington hotel, cocktails and all. love him and his team. Of course, we are still going to be working with Greenhouse as they are family to me. We are going to do a greenhouse night and also, this week, they opened their new spot Juliet. Very excited to officially be doing a night there for Barry and Jon B. It's gorgeous and elite, it's going to be a new hotspot. Other spots we might pick up nights include butter and oak eventually down the line we will be back there again. on our nights off, we've been hitting up all the hot spots but to be honest, avenue and oak, they're just sorta dead to me now. there's so many amazing spots in nyc that are just as celeb fabulous studded and less guido. all of which we are now working at. It's crazy how good we feel and how much fun our crew is we've been bringing out. things are good....ALSO, there's a really great blog website called selfabosrbed.me and i've been in touch with them about blogging for them. A friend of mine who's a big promoter in the city has found a company that wants to sponsor them with ad space etc. we are aiming to make it into a guest of a guest TYPE website, and id be part of the founding crew, stand by for news on that, that's gunna be fun.

much love

Code Blue! This new drink, Code Blue, has saved my days from being totally worthless (I mean they are still worthless) the past week. Try it, it's hard to find. You might have to go to their website to find out where it's carried BUT, it's a recovery drink, the first of it's kind. After 5 patron shots on Thursday night between Soho Grand, our table at greenhouse followed by Cyrus hooking up the shots at One Oak, code blue recovered me. Last night, what could have been horrifically embaressing, wasn't. I drank myself stupid with Karen and Mikealis and Jordan at La Pomme, Symone and Oak and at Oak I saw Kid Cudi. WELL, I've interviewed him and we had a good vibe so I went to say hi and stuff, he was mad nice, we ended up chilling by his table for a while and then I saw Russle Simmons. A couple months ago (after interviewing him at least 4 times and seeing him out monthly) I thought it would be appropriate to say "HEY RUSS!" out front of one oak to him as we were walking in. needless to say, he looked at me like "should i know that person"? When I interviewed him during fashion week, I made sure that he was aware of how embaressing that was and he said he would never NOT say hi again. So when he came up to owner's table at oak last night, I smiled at him and hoped he remembered- he did. So i got a big kiss from RUSS last in which i replied that he was too old to be out. Just because we are on a recognizable state of friendship, DOES NOT MEAN WE ARE CLOSE ENOUGH FOR ME TO START JOKING WITH HIM LIKE THAT. He kinda did an awkward laugh, and under an hour later, left. Maybe he heeded my advice?
Still no job. Don't worry, no matter how many times my mother and father call me a day, Im still not looking. I mean I will, just like I will start working out again, and I will clean the apartment, and decorate. All those things, i have pLenty of time to do, just a lack of will power to do them as Im perma tired/hungover. I woke up this morning between my best friend karen aka miley and my boyfriend...and what was the first thing we talked about upon awakening? It wasn't our day's plans, it was, SO WHO SHOULD WE INVITE TO OUR TABLE AT GRIFFIN TONIGHT. BRAINWASHED? YES. In other news, we are picking up a new night. We of course will stay at greenhouse tues and thursdays because Barry the owner and the crew there is like family to me and i love our table up in the vip there, best times. We will also SUPPORT wedndsay nights still at One Oak and then maybe still stay at griffin sats (not sure i hate that fucking place) and then on Fridays, our boss has secured AVENUE. Yes people, I think i can officially announce, MIkealis and I will be doing a table at Avenue on Fridays! Don't drop our name at the door though, they won't let you in and I don't need that type of anxiety, I already have enough anxiety. Im trying not to need to up my lexapro to 20 mg, I wanna stay at 15..

Im pleased to announced that as a new graduate I am making ZERO progress in finding a life. I have made a life out of going to greenhouse (Where we work and LIVE basically- shout out to my family over there) then end up till 5 am every night in one oak with karin, mikealis, and sam fox. Basically, we promote our tables, somehow end up late night in one oak or avenue after greenhouse or wherever we promoted, and then i wake up at 230 pm the next day when it's time to take my lexapro and birth control. I chug an ice coffee, check my favorite blogs, maybe go on an outting with MIkealis, then retire for my afternoon nap only to prepare to do it all over that night! Thus, I need a job. No, my parents do not consider In Touch and promoting a job. They are old fashioned (not really, they're just smart) and think that getting up in the morning and putting all my amazing new fall clothes to use for the day at a day job is the proper definition of a job. So, I've reached out to all 6903888 contacts I've made since I've lived here letting them know that yes, I am looking for freelance work as an Editor, Director, Dp, whatever. Ny magazine and in touch barely paid for my last pair of christians and I really can't rely on it. So, friends, think of me when something that screams my name pops up. You all know that I'm well versed in everything from film to PR, so find me a job friends. for all those drinks i poured u, times i let u bring ur ugly friend to our table, or told the door guy to ignore your flip flops and let u in, REPAY ME.

ON another note, Mikealis and Pdizzzy's newest video has been crushing it in the plays. It's currently being sent to a bunch of hip hop blogs. They have a show at the Delancey later this month. Mikealis is getting RAVE reviews on his new myspace layout, and his new songs. Myspace.com/mikealis. He is also about to be featured in YRB magazine under the radar section. my little talented awesome brother jordan (whom got bombarded with sparklers at greenhouse last night to celebrate his 21st) is producing the mixtape!

www.thestylelabonline.com check out my blogs tuesday and Wednesdays for michael's website.

this is what my life has come to. even though we have bottle service all night, im still drinking patron from a flask.

i need a job

Fill in the blank:

"Mikealis, I...."
